Put on your shirt faster

Filed under: General Productivity - Nels @ 7:42 am

I’m not sure how many people this really applies to… but for those with whose business casual leans a little more toward the casual (like myself), it’s probably pretty good.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Button the bottom 4 or 5 buttons of the shirt
  2. Put it on the hanger
  3. Then button the top button (or second from the top sometimes) so it stays on the hanger

Now, when it’s time to wear the shirt, all you have to do is unbutton the topmost button and slide the shirt over your head like a normal shirt, sweater, etc… Hello, time saved! Nice to meet you!

I wouldn’t suggest this for people who need to have crisp, clean shirts at work every day… but for us web developer types who can get by with being a little bit sloppy, it’s great!
